Orthodontist in Lexington, SC for Kids, Teens, and Adults
Choosing an orthodontist Lexington SC families can count on should not feel like a gamble. At Sunset Children’s Dentistry, Dr. Christine Esposito is a board-certified orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and she treats patients at every stage — from a seven-year-old’s first evaluation to an adult finally straightening the teeth they have thought about for years.
What makes us different is simple: your child’s dentist and your child’s orthodontist are in the same building. No second office across town, no repeating the history, no two sets of records that never quite match. Cleanings, x-rays, and braces adjustments happen under one roof, on one schedule, with one team that already knows your family.
A Patient-Centered Orthodontist Lexington SC Families Rely On
Orthodontics is a long relationship, not a single appointment. Most treatment plans run one to three years, which means you will be in our chairs often. We build that experience around clear answers, honest timelines, and a team that treats a nervous ten-year-old differently than a self-conscious fifteen-year-old — because they are not the same patient.
We also believe you should never be surprised by a bill or a bracket. Before anything is bonded, you will know what the plan is, roughly how long it will take, what it costs, and what happens if your child loses a retainer in a school cafeteria. If you want a neutral second opinion while you compare practices, the American Association of Orthodontists publishes patient guidance that is not tied to any one office.
- Board-certified specialist care from Dr. Esposito, not a general dentist doing occasional ortho
- One location for pediatric dentistry and orthodontics, so records and timing stay aligned
- Plain-language treatment plans with costs discussed before treatment starts
- Appointment times that respect school and work schedules
- A team that has cared for many of these kids since their first tooth
- Honest recommendations, including “your child does not need treatment yet”

This page covers our philosophy and how we work. The pages below go deeper on each treatment — what it is, who it helps, what it costs, and how long it takes. Start wherever your questions are.
STEP 1
Book Your Free Consultation
Call, text, or book online. Your first orthodontic visit is a no-cost evaluation — we look, we take records if needed, and we tell you honestly whether treatment is needed now, later, or at all.
STEP 2
Records and Treatment Planning
If treatment makes sense, we take digital scans and x-rays, then map out the plan. You will see the timeline, the appliance options, and the cost in writing before you commit to anything.
STEP 3
Starting Treatment
Braces are bonded or your first aligners are delivered. The appointment usually runs an hour or two. We send you home with care instructions, a supply kit, and a direct number for anything that comes loose.
STEP 4
Adjustments and Retention
You will see us every six to ten weeks for adjustments. When the braces come off, we fit retainers the same day and walk you through the wear schedule that keeps the result permanent.
